NESBIT FAMILY HOUSING – Development Proposal
The project proposes to build 118 units of affordable workforce housing in a 7-story rental development at 8620 Nesbit Ave. N., a mid-block site bounded by Aurora Ave to the west and Nesbit to the east. Right of Way improvements along Aurora Ave will be included in the development.

On a different note, as I was reading more broadly about how long it takes to build meaningful foundations in both relationships and communities, I came across some dating-to-marriage statistics here:https://www.doulike.com/blog/statistics/how-long-to-date-before-marriage/. It’s a reminder that whether in housing projects or personal relationships, sustainable progress often comes from consistent effort, communication, and thoughtful pacing. In the same way that couples ideally take time to build trust, I hope this project proceeds with continuous feedback and responsiveness to community needs.
I appreciate LIHI’s efforts to engage the community Space Waves Game with an open discussion and provide interpreter services to ensure accessibility for everyone.
