On June 28th, LIHI’s famous rainbow tiny house returned to Seattle’s Pride Parade for the third time! LIHI was thrilled to celebrate the incredible resilience of the LGBTQ+ community alongside hundreds of thousands of attendees. Staff and volunteers brought the energy on the route up 4th Avenue – we had so much fun dancing to Madness’ “Our House”, passing out LIHI merch, and engaging with the roaring crowd.

This year’s Pride Parade theme, “Rally”, rings true to our greater mission of advocacy. As a housing and shelter provider, we believe everyone deserves a safe, welcoming place to call home. Here at LIHI, we rally around each other by meeting people where they’re at, speaking up for human rights, and advocating for change. We were honored to rally with the LGBTQ+ community, who remind us that joy is an act of resistance.

We celebrate pride every day, but participating in the Pride Parade each June has become a highlight of our year. Happy Pride!
