Property Description
Gossett Place is a 62-unit permanent supportive housing building located in the U-District neighborhood of North Seattle. LIHI acquired the property from a for-profit developer in 2008 and converted its past hotel plans into affordable housing units. Gossett Place opened in 2011 and houses homeless individuals and couples, including units designated for veterans and young adults aged 18-25. The property features 53 studios and 10 one-bedroom units, a computer room, and a large community room. Residents have access to onsite supportive services, and the building is conveniently located in a metropolitan area near the U-District light rail station, shopping, and opportunities for recreation and employment. Gossett Place is named in honor of King County Councilmember, human rights champion, and lifelong activist Larry Gossett.
