● The following documentation will need to be provided if selected for initial housing interview:
a) non-expired government issued identification
b) social security card (for all household members)
c) proof of income within 60 days of the date of application
d) homeless verification
e) copy of birth certificate (minors only)
f) I-94 or green card if not US citizens.
g) verification for service/companion animal, if applicable

Other Criteria/Restrictions: An application needs to be completed for each household member over the age of 18. Valid photo identification will be required of all applicants. Additional requested documentation or information must be provided within 72 to continue the application process. Also, we do not accept comprehensive reusable tenant screening reports at this time. Section 8 welcome.

Unit & Neighborhood Features: 24hr free laundry on every residential floor, trash chute on each residential floor and recycling behind the building, a community room with kitchen to host events. We are also within walking distance to the Walgreens, Chase Bank & tons of great places to eat as well as direct access to Metro Transportation right out front.

Built in 2012, Ernestine Anderson Place houses low-income seniors 55 years of age and older in the Central Area adjacent to downtown and Capitol Hill. The five-story building features a library with internet-enabled computers, a large community room, a classroom, an exercise room, and a patio garden.
Ernestine Anderson Place is named in honor of legendary jazz singer Ernestine Anderson, an international star from Seattle’s Central Area and graduate of Garfield High. In a career spanning more than five decades, she has recorded over 30 albums. She has been nominated four times for a Grammy Award. She has sung at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Monterey Jazz Festival, as well as at jazz festivals all over the world.
