LIHI acquired Harbor Inn in 2022 to convert into permanent housing. Harbor Inn is located at 1606 E Main Street on Whidbey Island. Ten units currently operate as enhanced shelter for people at risk of homelessness, with Island County providing referrals. When the ongoing property renovation is completed, eleven units will operate as permanent supportive housing, and 9 units will operate as Enhanced Shelter for formerly homeless individuals. The units are fully furnished. Harbor Inn is located near shopping, employment opportunities, and public transit.
