The Low Income Housing Institute cannot accept donations of food that is unpackaged or not prepared in a commercial kitchen by permitted food handlers. Donated meals prepared in commercial kitchens can be coordinated by contacting 206-443-9935 ext. 1078.

  • Torn or Dirty Clothing

  • Used Pillows

  • Used Mattresses

  • Used Mattress Toppers

  • Used Air Conditioners

  • Used Heaters

  • House Décor

  • Household Fixtures (faucets, ceiling lights, sconces)

  • Beddings that are Stained, Dirty, or Larger than a Full

  • Clothes or Beddings with Pet Hair

  • Household Chemicals or Open Cleaning Products

  • Scrap Construction Material (carpet, lumber, metal, etc.)

  • Books

  • Electronics (stereos, radios, VCRs, DVD players)

  • Car Parts (seats, headlights, mirrors)

  • Toys Larger than a Microwave

  • Used Stuffed Animals

  • Large Appliances without prior approval

  • Furniture without prior approval
